The first track from Lama’s awaited third album is now available for free download!
The release date of the new Lama album is closing up on us. It’s out september 30th, but before that we’ve got tons of great stuff to discover:
We at Spoon Train are delighted to give you the first taste of what’s to come. The track “Flashes” is the perfect sample of this record. It’s short and sweet and captures both the complexity and the catchyness of the album. This music deserves good listening conditions. Put on a good head set. Turn it up. Watch the video in HD, full screen. Give it some time. We promise that you won’t be disappointed.
In addition to the great track and beautiful video, we’re also proud to release two great remixes of the track. Both remixes are from the smashing young Norwegian producer Mathias Stubø, better known as Proviant Audio. He’s just released two great records, one on BBE and one on Paper Recs and here he delivers one remix under each alias.
The video was shot on a cloudy summer day in Norway, courtesy of Lavafilm, Andreas Grødtlien and Ida Thurmann-Moe. Amazing people, check out their other stuff at www.lavafilm.no. A big thank you also goes out to Richard Eriksen for concept development and various help throughout the process of making the video.

Here, in the future of 2011, by:Larm, the norwegian equivalent of SXSW and CMJ, have decided to focus a bit more on the Norwegian music world’s undergrowth, meaning that they are allowing some of Norway’s ambitious independent labels to curate their own labelnights during the by:Larm festival.
Obviously by:Larm thinks Spoon Train is one of the Norwegian labels who deserve this bit of attention from the established music industry, as we’ve gotten the joyful task of putting up an entire night with Spoon Train acts only. Read more »

2011 sees the release of the long awaited second album “Making Marks”. The video for the single “Hard To Be Good ” has already been put in MTV rotation and entered the German myspace charts. The band’s appealing mix of twee pop and more classic pop, soul and americana music is making them reach a steady growing audience, without ever loosing their intense underground fervor. The combination of pure sincerity and analytical intelligence in both melodies and lyrics make mylittlepony a front runner in the increasingly more exciting pop capital of Oslo, Norway.

The first track from Einar Stray’s long awaited debut album “Chiaroscuro” is now available for free download!
Einar Stray is a 20 year old norwegian experimental singer/songwriter who draws upon influences such as Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Radiohead and Sufjan Stevens.
After being hyped by media as a very promising 18 year old and playing by:Larm, Slottsfjellfestivalen and numerous other festivals in 2008, Stray pulled back from the spotlight to focus on developing as a song writer and composer. In addition to writing his own material, Einar also spent the last year as the piano player for Norwegian break through act Moddi, both on record and live. Moddi returns the favor with a contribution to the record, both as a musician and with cover design.
Spoon Train Audio are thrilled to finally be able to reveal Einar’s music for the world. The title track “Chiaroscuro” is an eight minute long monster of a pop song, with horns, strings, guitar noise and Einar’s signature piano playing on top.
Chiaroscuro is produced by Spoon Train house producer Sjur Lyseid in Six Feet Over Recording Studio, and marks his definite breakthrough as the front runner of a new generation of norwegian record producers. We hope you will enjoy this track as much as we do.
