Being the spitting image of cynicism according to themselves, Oslo-based honeytraps merges late eighties/early nineties britpop with contemporary dance floor fillers and parts of the jungle. Dodgy combo? Hell no.
With just one year of activity honeytraps have already made their mark on Norway, both with their energetic liveshows and by having tracks from their first demorelease Demotivation playlisted on student radios in both Oslo and Bergen. Fall of 2011 first saw the release of honeytraps’ first properly produced track, the Gentle Touch, an urban sounding experiment in collaboration with producer Goran Obad. They’re currently in the studio with Spoon Train’s inhouse producer Sjur Lyseid to record their debut EP which hopefully will hit the streets at the same time the band does, with extensive touring planned in October.
